Okay – here is the major secret to getting the best rate available for your California home loan or mortgage.   Before you fill out a loan application and provide the lender with your social security number, you fight as hard for your mortgage rates, your home loan mortgage rate, as you did in fighting for the best price available for the purchase of your land, real estate or home.

This is a business transaction; you have only one loyalty at this stage of the business process – your family.  You have to take care of yourself in this process because everyone else is in it to make a very large profit off of you.  The first thing you must do is make this business.  The process of getting a home loan, equity loan, refinance loan, construction loan or whatever else is going to happen with the money – it is a business transaction.

In business, if you do not know what to do, you get a consultant.  If you have just purchased a home or are in the process and your real estate agent is recommending a lender, remember, the real estate agent may or may not be your advisor in this process.  The mortgage broker may or may not be on your side.  You represent you and it is imperative that you protect your family from the profit motivated people surrounding this transaction.
